Hope Justice is a young artist from the Philadelphia area who crafts songs that blend whimsy, nature, and the supernatural.

Her style has been described as haunting, imaginative, and vivid, and compared to the sounds of artists like Phoebe Bridgers, Searows, and Cocteau Twins. Since she was eight years old, Hope has been turning stories and personal experiences into songs, using creativity as a powerful outlet to express her emotions. Early on, she found songwriting to be a way to transform vulnerability into something tangible, and through this journey discovered that poetry, magic, and love—elements central to her work—are most impactful when shared with others.

All throughout her youth, Hope has been dedicated to developing her artistry. She has taken private voice lessons since the sixth grade and has been an enthusiastic choir member during her public school education. The amalgamation of many voices has been profoundly interesting and moving to Hope. Through the use of vocal layering and dissonant harmonies, she aims to emulate such feelings in her present work. Her experience in musical theatre has also played a deeply important role in Hope’s artistic and personal development. She has been passionately participating in school and community theatre productions since her middle school days, which have shaped her not only as a musician, but as a person as well.

Hope attended a three-week songwriting program at Interlochen Arts Camp in Michigan in the summer of 2024. There, she wrote her debut single, “Sea Song,” a love letter to the ocean. In her senior year of high school, Hope transferred to Interlochen Arts Academy where she refined her craft through a specialized songwriting program and immersed herself in the independent, disciplined nature of a boarding school. Working in the school’s environment of collaboration, she has arranged her original songs and performed them at venues such as the Traverse City Opera House, Interlochen’s Kresge Auditorium, and Earthwork Harvest Gathering. Additionally, Hope formed her band SOMETHING BETTER through a performance class at Interlochen, and the band will be touring the Midwest and East Coast this July. Be on the lookout for dates! Hope will be continuing her musical education at Berklee College of Music in the fall of 2025.
